Pastor Clinton Feemster resigns

It’s sad when ones career comes crashing down over an impulse control issue. Its sadder still when one lives a lie. Dr. Clinton A. Feemster was arrested for soliciting sex from an undercover police detective in a public place. The hapless pastor was cruising for gay sex when arrested.

Police reports and charging documents state that Feemster touched himself while talking to an undercover detective and asked him to perform a sex act. The incident happened at an airport overlook on Old Dowd Road where families watch planes take off from the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.

Feemster is the pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kings Mountain. He’s been placed on leave at his church as well as resigning his teaching position at Gardner-Webb University. It’s a horrible price to play for a blowjob. Of course, living in the closet as a Baptist pastor most be intolerable. Perhaps his arrest was for the best.

Update 7/19/2011 - Clinton found not guilty.
